The Ok-Pop Idol Who Was Hated By His Own Members Before Debuting

MONSTA X‘s I.M did not have it easy pre-debut.

MONSTA X was shaped via the STARSHIP Entertainment program NO. MERCY. It was a survival present that adopted its title carefully, throwing varied curveballs on the trainees that might be thought of unfair to most.

One of those was introducing I.M in the midst of the competitors…proper after a number of unique contestants have been pressured to go house. The rapper was not a part of the unique 12 trainees who spent years coaching collectively for his or her debut.

He appeared eight episodes in, simply two episodes earlier than the finale that introduced him as a part of the lineup of MONSTA X.

Needless to say, his sudden look was not well-received by his fellow contestants. He was public enemy primary within the eyes of his future group mates, and they didn’t maintain again when sharing their real anger in personal interviews.

JooHoney: I didn’t like what was taking place in any respect. I didn’t need to take a look at the brand new child’s face.

Shownu: I can’t consider the rest however, “This is unfair.”

Minhyuk: Why is he right here? This isn’t his spot so why is he right here? I couldn’t look him within the face. I used to be in a horrible temper. I misplaced my urge for food.

Kihyun: To be sincere, I didn’t like him. I felt like he was freeloading on what we’ve arrange to this point.

Thankfully, after spending extra time with one another, all of them grew nearer. He is now greater than accepted by his members—he’s their beloved maknae!

In an interview with Wired, I.M introduced up this early hatred, saying, “I joined that program in the middle—not even the middle, at the end of the program.” As quickly as he stated, “Lots of people hated me,” his members opposed him loudly.
