On the newest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the id of “Ink” was revealed!

During the June 18 broadcast of the MBC singing competitors, 4 contestants continued their quest to problem the reigning champion for the throne.

In the primary battle of Round 2, Ink serenaded the viewers with an emotional rendition of Lee Juck‘s famous ballad “Laundry.”

In order to give the panelists a hint as to Ink’s id, the present performed a particular pre-recorded video message from JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin Young.

Park Jin Young praised Ink’s expertise, describing him as an underrated singer whose expertise deserved to be recognized by extra individuals. “That’s why I’m so happy that he’s appearing on ‘The King of Mask Singer’ today,” he continued.

After listening to his message, the panelists tried to determine who Ink is likely to be. ATBO’s Yeonkyu guessed that he was VICTON’s Sejun, whereas Wonder Girls’ Yubin guessed that he was GOT7‘s Yugyeom.

Although Ink stole the audience’s hearts along with his singing, it was finally his opponent that received the spherical. Ink then remained on stage to take off his masks and reveal his id—and, as many followers had already guessed after watching final week’s episode, he turned out to be Stray Kids’ predominant vocalist Seungmin.

Host Kim Sung Joo requested Seungmin if it was true that he had waited for years to seem on “The King of Mask Singer,” and the idol replied, “Yes. I’m now in my sixth year since my debut, and I’d always wanted to appear on this program no matter what.” When Kim Sung Joo requested what had taken him so lengthy, Seungmin defined, “I had braces for three years. Immediately after I got them removed, I started working hard to prepare for both our comeback and ‘The King of Mask Singer.’”

Meanwhile, Seungmin’s former JYP Entertainment labelmate Yubin spoke extremely of his character. After expressing embarrassment that she hadn’t been capable of acknowledge him underneath his masks, Yubin remarked, “Within the agency, I heard a lot about how kind, composed, and hard-working he is.
