Upcoming drama “Genie, Earth” (literal title) has denied stories of manufacturing on the present being halted.

On June 20, StarInformation reported that the drama “Genie, Earth” had not too long ago been cancelled whereas nonetheless in pre-production. Described as a fantasy rom-com motion drama, “Genie, Earth” was beforehand reported to star Lee Sang Yeob and Apink’s Jung Eun Ji, each of whom confirmed again in April that they have been in talks to play the main roles.

However, later that very same day, the producers of “Genie, Earth” denied the cancellation rumors. The manufacturing workforce advised information outlet OSEN, “There was an article published about production falling apart, but it isn’t true. We are currently in the process of negotiating the broadcast programming.”

They went on to elaborate, “It’s true that we originally planned to negotiate broadcast programming for the drama after it was filmed as a pre-produced series. But there was a change in the investment schedule, and so we wound up negotiating the broadcast programming first.”

“However, that doesn’t mean that production has been cancelled,” they continued. “From the cast to the crew, everyone is waiting together for filming to begin.”

The producers concluded, “We are currently in the process of negotiating so that production can proceed quickly. We are also in the midst of a broad range of discussions regarding programming, and we are making efforts to begin filming [as soon as possible].”

“Genie, Earth” will inform the story of a former prosecutor who by chance develops superpowers after coming into contact with an extraterrestrial substance. Together with a former particular forces counterterrorism unit teacher, he units out to avoid wasting the world from evil forces who search to take over the planet.
